Who’s the ideal customer for beta?
We’re starting with small businesses that have 1–20 employees and simple payroll needs—like salaried workers on weekly, biweekly, or monthly pay cycles with no time tracking or contractor payments.
When will the beta launch?
The beta will roll out in early fall. We’ll confirm the launch date as we get closer.

What’s involved in the beta?
As a participant in the beta, you will need to add payroll to your Xero subscription. When all your company details are added, please run payroll. Additionally, our product and design teams may be in touch to get your feedback on the product.
What do I get for participating in the beta?
You will receive 9 months of Xero Payroll for free! This is at no additional cost to your Xero subscription.
How can I sign up for the beta?
To see if you qualify, request to join the beta.
What if I’m currently using Gusto?
If you are currently, or have used Gusto in the past, you will not be eligible for the beta.
What if I use Xero’s current Gusto integration?
You will not be able to participate in the beta.
Can I opt out of the beta?
Yes, you can opt out at any time.
