Getting started is easy
Xero Payroll is free for your practice
To use Xero Payroll for your own practice, log in to your Xero practice organisation, and go to the Payroll tab. Xero Payroll is available as a benefit of the partner programme.
If you hold the Xero subscription for your client
Simply log in to Xero, go to your client’s subscription and add payroll to account.
If your client holds the Xero subscription
Advise your client to log in to Xero, go to their subscription and add payroll to their account. Then follow these steps to set up payroll for your client.
Pricing and partner programme points
Clients who are new to Xero can use payroll as part of their 30-day free trial.
For existing Xero clients:
Add Xero Payroll to any business edition plan
First three months free for up to five payroll employees (usually £5 per month)
£1.00 per month for each additional employee
Earn partner points with Xero Payroll to reach the next status level faster. You’ll gain 1.5 points for every invited-in paid org that uses payroll and 1 point for every partner-billed paid org that uses Xero Expenses.
Xero Payroll is also free to use for your own practice. You’ll gain 5 points for using payroll on your own practice org.
