Prize competition terms and conditions

1. The Xerocon Brisbane 2025 Instagram Stories Competition (Competition) is run on behalf of Xero Australia Pty Ltd, with its registered office at Level 3, 254 - 260 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Victoria 3122, Australia (Xero), and is open from 8:00am 3 September 2025 to 5:00pm 4 September 2025 AEST (the Competition Period). Xero may extend, cancel or amend this Competition and/or review and update these terms and conditions on its website at any time, at its sole discretion.

2. To be eligible to enter the Competition (Eligible Entrant), entrants must:

a) be a current Xero customer;

b) be aged 18 years or older; and

c) have registered to attend Xerocon 2025.

3. Xero employees and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the Competition.

4. In order to enter the Competition, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Competition Period:

a) take a photo or video at the Florist activation

b) post the photo or video to your personal Instagram or LinkedIn feed;

c) tag Xero;

d) tag an SMB who has ‘supercharged’ their business; and

e) include #Xerocon in the caption (Post).

5. There is a limit of 1 entry per Eligible Entrant.

6. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

7. Three (3) Eligible Entrants will have a chance to win one (1) of the following prizes:

• First place: Apple AirPods (valued at AUD$700)
• Second place: Wireless speaker (valued at AUD$200)
• Third place: Gift card for AUD$$80 (Prize).

8. There are two (2) Prizes available to be won, one (1) for each day of the Competition Period (six (6) items in total across the Competition Period).

9. Six (6) winners will be chosen at a Xero office (three (3) for each day of the Competition Period) from all correct entries following the end of the Competition Period and no later than 12 September 2025 (Winners). The criteria for deciding the winning Posts for this Competition is three (3) heartfelt posts, as determined by the Xero judges in their discretion.

10. The Winners will be notified by direct message on Instagram. If we have made a reasonable attempt to contact a Winner, and a Winner has not responded within three (3) business days, or a Winner is unable to use the Prize, the Prize will be forfeited and Xero will choose another Winner. In the event of any dispute, Xero’s decision is final.

11. Names of the Winners will be published on the Xero website by September 12th for at least 28 days.

12. The Prize includes standard postage. Xero is not responsible for any additional or re-delivery postage costs incurred due to incorrect address details provided by the Eligible Entrant, or any other issues beyond Xero's reasonable control.

13. Xero does not warrant that the Prize will meet the Winners’ requirements or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. To avoid doubt, all implied conditions or warranties are excluded in so far as is permitted by law, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose.

14. The Prize cannot be transferred to others, or exchanged for cash or other benefits and cannot be split.

15. You agree that:

a) you are fully responsible for any materials you submit via the Competition (Content);

b) you will not submit Content that:

i) is unlawful or fraudulent;

ii) contains viruses or causes injury or harm to any person; or

iii) infringes the rights of any third party;

c) to the full extent permitted by law, Xero will not be liable for the Content;

d) Xero may remove, decline to publish or invalidate any Content or ancestry without notice for any reason;

e) by entering, participants grant Xero a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, and publish their image and likeness for marketing, promotional, and advertising purposes, including social media boosting and paid campaigns (including usage across Xero’s owned and paid channels, online and offline) without further compensation or notice.

16. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xero and its affiliated companies shall not be liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence), for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss), or for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition.

17. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to participate in any publicity related to their Prize, and that Xero can use the Winners’ likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording) in any media for an unlimited period of time without payment, to promote Xero and any of its other products.

18. By participating in the Competition and by submitting any contact details, each Participant consents to receive the latest news, special offers, promotions and information from Xero by email, TXT or other channels from time to time. If at any stage you do not want to receive this information then please let us know, or use the ‘unsubscribe’ feature on communications we send you.

19. All use of Xero’s services is subject to Xero’s Terms of Use. Any personal information which we collect from you can be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

20. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of State of Victoria, Australia.
