Prize competition terms and conditions

1. The Xerocon Brisbane 2025 Instagram Stories Competition (Competition) is run on behalf of Xero Australia Pty Ltd, with its registered office at Level 3, 254 - 260 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Victoria 3122, Australia (Xero), and is open from 09:00am 3 September 2025 to 5:00pm 4 September 2025 AEST (the CompetitionPeriod). Xero may extend, cancel or amend this Competition and/or review and update these terms and conditions on its website at any time, at its sole discretion.

2. To be eligible to enter the Competition (Eligible Entrant), entrants must:

• be a current Xero customer;
• be aged 18 years or older; and
• have registered to attend Xerocon 2025.

3. Xero employees and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the Competition.

4. In order to enter the Competition, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Competition Period, respond to Xero’s question in the answer box displayed in Xero’s story on Xero’s Instagram account posted on 3 September and/or 4 September 2025.

5. There is a limit of 1 entry per Eligible Entrant.

6. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

7. Three (3) Eligible Entrants will have a chance to win one (1) of each of the following prizes:

• First place: Apple AirPods (valued at AUD$700)
• Second place: Wireless speaker (valued at AUD$200)
• Third place: Gift card for AUD$80 (each a Prize).

8. There are three (3) Prizes available to be won across the Competition Period (three (3) items in total across the Competition Period).

9. Three (3) winners will be drawn at a Xero office from all correct entries following the end of the Competition Period and no later than 12 September 2025 (Winners).

10. The Winners will be notified by direct message on Instagram. If we have made a reasonable attempt to contact a Winner, and a Winner has not responded within three (3) business days, or a Winner is unable to use the Prize, the Prize will be forfeited and Xero will randomly choose another Winner. In the event of any dispute, Xero’s decision is final.

11. Names of the Winners will be published on the Xero website on 12 September 2025 for at least 28 days.

12. The Prize excludes all other incidental travel expenses, including but not limited to, meals, travel insurance, taxis or ride share services unless otherwise stated above. Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the Winner and the Winner should ensure they have sufficient funds to manage any costs outside of the Prize. The Winner is responsible for any and all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, local and foreign taxes (and the reporting thereof), if any, and for all other unspecified expenses, fees, charges and duties associated with the acceptance or use of the Prize. It is the individual Winner's responsibility to understand and abide by any federal, provincial, territorial, local or foreign re-entry permits, visa and tax laws that may apply to receipt of the Prize.

13. The Prize includes standard postage. Xero is not responsible for any additional or re-delivery postage costs incurred due to incorrect address details provided by the Eligible Entrant, or any other issues beyond Xero's reasonable control.

14. Xero does not warrant that the Prize will meet the Winners’ requirements or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. To avoid doubt, all implied conditions or warranties are excluded in so far as is permitted by law, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose.

15. The Prize cannot be transferred to others, or exchanged for cash or other benefits and cannot be split.

16. You agree that:

a) you are fully responsible for any materials you submit via the Competition (Content);

i) you will not submit Content that:

ii) is unlawful or fraudulent;

iii) contains viruses or causes injury or harm to any person; or

b) infringes the rights of any third party; and

c) to the full extent permitted by law, Xero will not be liable for the Content.

17. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xero and its affiliated companies shall not be liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence), for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss), or for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition.

18. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to participate in any publicity related to their Prize, and that Xero can use the Winners’ likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording) in any media for an unlimited period of time without payment, to promote Xero and any of its other products.

19. By participating in the Competition and by submitting any contact details, each Participant consents to receive the latest news, special offers, promotions and information from Xero by email, TXT or other channels from time to time. If at any stage you do not want to receive this information then please let us know, or use the ‘unsubscribe’ feature on communications we send you.

20. All use of Xero’s services is subject to Xero’s Terms of Use. Any personal information which we collect from you can be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

21. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of State of Victoria, Australia.
