Xero Asia Awards 2024 Terms & Conditions
1. These awards (Awards) are run on behalf of Xero (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. company registration number 201607 789C (Xero, us, we, or our).
2. To be eligible to enter the Awards (Eligible Entrant), entrants must:
- be an active Xero Partner based in Asia (that is an accountant or bookkeeper using a valid and active Xero subscription in Asia);
- be aged 18 years or over;
- have a valid passport with minimum 6 months validity at the time of travel; and
- meet the requirements listed here for the award categories (Award Category) you wish to apply.
3. Xero employees and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the Awards.
4. Entries are open from 09:00 SGT on Monday, 13 May 2024 and must be received no later than 23:59 SGT on Friday 14 June 2024 (Awards Period).
5. Entries received after this date may not be considered.
6. Entries must be made using the online platform provided via this link. Entries outside of this platform will not be accepted.
7. Only one entry per company per category will be considered for judging. Additional entries into the same category will not improve your chances of winning in the category, and will be rejected.
8. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at our discretion.
9. We reserve the right to remove categories where entries do not meet the standard for eligibility.
10. Entries cannot be amended after they have been submitted so please ensure all of the information is accurate and correct prior to submitting.
11. Information entered into more than one category will be treated as a separate entry.
12. The judging panel will only read applications for the purposes of judging and are required to sign non-disclosure agreements.
13. The judges’ decision is final.
14. Due to the number of entries received we cannot give feedback on individual entries.
15. All entries submitted must be legal. Any entries containing offensive material or misleading information will be disqualified.
16. Three finalists from each category will be announced on this page by 30 June 2024, and one winner from each category will be announced in person at the Awards Night dinner on 6 August 2024, and subsequently on this page after the event has concluded.
17. Eligible Entrants will have a chance to win the following prizes:
If selected as a Finalist;
- Recognition as a Xero Asia Awards 2024 Award Finalist across the Awards website, blogs, and social media;
- Social media kit to help promote themselves as a Finalist;
- A one-off contribution sponsorship of up to USD1,000 for flights and accommodation to attend the Xero Asia Awards 2024 celebration dinner in Singapore. This is only available to finalist companies based outside of Singapore. Up to 4 staff members may be invited to attend the celebration dinner. The contribution amount is the maximum amount Xero will provide towards flights and accommodation for all 4 staff members. For the avoidance of doubt, this means that if 4 staff members were to attend the dinner, the total contribution amount is USD 1,000. Any additional costs will be borne by the Finalist;
- a Finalist Certificate; and
- Xero swag (e.g. shirts, hats, water bottles, pens, etc),
(collectively a Prize).
If selected as a Winner:
- Recognition as a Xero Asia Awards 2024 Award Winner across the Awards website, blogs and social media;
- Social media kit to help promote themselves as a Winner; and
- Award Trophy,
(collectively a Prize).
18. If an Award Winner wins more than one category at the Awards, the Award Winner will only be entitled to receive one (1) Prize.
19. Awardees are solely responsible for all costs not expressly listed as being included in the Prize, and may not seek reimbursement of such costs from Xero, including without limitation, meals, entertainment, other travel and accommodation, incidentals, gratuities, services charges, optional extras, transfers, passports, visas, re-entry permits, spending money, freights, excess baggage, government taxes (all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, local or foreign taxes, and the reporting thereof), departure taxes, ground transportation any tax liabilities, airport charges, any applicable surcharges and any other related costs associated with acceptance of the Prize. Travel insurance is not included in the Prize and will be the responsibility of the Finalists and Winners. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The Finalists and Winners acknowledge that the accommodation part of the Prize includes room charges only and no ancillary costs such as room service. Finalists and Winners who attend the Awards Ceremony event must also comply with the Attendee terms and conditions as well as all reasonable safety directions from Xero staff prior to and on the day, including in order to comply with any COVID related government requirements that may be in place at the time. Xero will provide reasonable prior notice where any such requirements may be in place.
20. Prizes are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash, not replaceable and non-transferable (including, but not limited to, for sale, re-sale or auction). Xero gives no advice, warranties or representations regarding the Prizes and it is provided on an “as is” basis. No Prize substitutions, except by Xero, who reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the Prize is not available for any reason as determined by Xero in its sole discretion. The odds of winning any Prize depends on the number of eligible entries received during the Awards Period.
21. The Awards process and selection of finalists and winners from the Entrants (Finalist and Winners, collectively Awardees) will be overseen and managed by judges from Xero and external parties (Judges). For the purpose of determining each Awardee, the Judges will evaluate each Response according to its creativity, originality, and alignment to the awards criteria (each criterion weighted equally), as further detailed here (Awards Criteria). The Responses provided by the Eligible Entrants will be scored according to the criteria described in the Awards Criteria (with the top scoring being the best Response).
22. Xero does not warrant that the Prize will meet the Finalists or Winners’ requirements or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. To avoid doubt, all implied conditions or warranties are excluded in so far as is permitted by law, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose.
23. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xero and its affiliated companies shall not be liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence), for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss), or for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Awards.
24. By accepting the Prize, the Finalists and Winners agree to participate in any publicity related to their Prize, and that Xero can use the Finalists’ and Winners’ likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording) in any media for an unlimited period of time without payment, to promote Xero and any of its other products.
25. The Finalists and Winners agree that Xero may withdraw their right to their Prize if:
- Xero’s name is, or is likely to be in Xero’s reasonable opinion, damaged or brought into disrepute or ridicule by the Finalist or Winner or by being associated with the Finalist or Winner; or
- The Finalist or Winner is involved directly or indirectly in any situation (whether the relevant situation occurred before, during or after the Awards Period) which brings, or in the reasonable opinion of Xero is likely to bring, any of the Finalists, Winners, Xero or the Awards into disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule.
26. Xero’s decisions on all matters relating to these Awards (including but not limited to the registration of entrants and the determination of the Finalists, Winners, the awarding of the Prize and the operation of the Awards) will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding it.
27. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore.
28. If for any reason any aspect of the Awards is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of Xero, Xero may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Awards and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to local regulation.
