Xero announces new Chief Product Officer, Diya Jolly
Current Chief Product Officer, Anna Curzon takes sabbatical due to personal and family health reasons
Wellington – 1 March 2023 – Xero Limited today announces former Google and Okta executive, Diya Jolly, has been appointed as Xeroʼs new Chief Product Officer, effective 10 April 2023.
Jolly comes to Xero from Okta where she was Chief Product Officer, responsible for leading product innovation for both its workforce and customer identity business. Prior to Okta, Jolly was Vice President of Product Management at Google, where she was focused on driving adoption for some of the companyʼs leading products including Google Home, Nest, YouTube monetisation and Gmail monetisation. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Economics from the University of Michigan.
As part of Xeroʼs executive team, Jolly will lead Xeroʼs product teams driving product management, development, design, and product marketing to further improve Xeroʼs global small business platform for partners and small businesses. She will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Jollyʼs appointment follows the decision by Xeroʼs current Chief Product Officer, Anna Curzon, to take a sabbatical as a result of personal and family health reasons.
Xero CEO, Sukhinder Singh Cassidy said: “Diya brings market-leading global experience in designing, developing and launching consumer and business products in high growth mid sized companies, startups and Fortune 500 brands, including playing a critical role in Okta's, Googleʼs and also Microsoftʼs product strategies. I look forward to welcoming her to lead this essential function as we focus our efforts on unlocking the next phase in Xeroʼs global journey and realizing our small business platform vision.”
“Anna has led our product strategy through an important phase in our global journey. We acknowledge her considerable contribution to our business, our customers and our people. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and support to Anna as she focuses on her own and her familyʼs health recovery. We look forward to her returning to Xero at the right time.”
Jollyʼs appointment follows a global search for a permanent Chief Product Officer following Curzonʼs sabbatical decision. Prior to Jollyʼs starting date, Tim Bradley, Xeroʼs EGM Small Business Accounting is acting in the role.
