ITSA email templates for your clients

We share email templates for communicating ITSA updates with clients.

MTD for ITSA

No matter where your clients are on their MTD journey, these email templates will help. Send them directly to your clients, or customise them with your own messaging.

Group 1: Clients already using Xero

Clients with turnover above £50,000 annually who are already using Xero will need to sign up for MTD for ITSA ahead of April 2026. This can be done through Xero and you can do this on their behalf.

You may have heard that HMRC will roll out the next phase of Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessments (MTD for ITSA) from 2026.

Your business is already using Xero, which is great news, as this means you’re already on HMRC-recognised software. However, we will need to get you signed up for MTD for ITSA by 2026.

Group 2: Clients who are already signed up for MTD for VAT but also need to sign up for ITSA

Clients already signed up for MTD for VAT will need to register separately for MTD for ITSA if it applies to them.
