Small Firm of the Year
This award celebrates the Xero accounting or bookkeeping partners who have cracked the formula for success. This category is for UK-based Xero partners with no more than 10 employees.
Assessment criteria
Entries will be assessed using the following criteria:
- Business vision
- Xero use
- Client care
- Xero advocacy
- Xero apps ecosystem
Eligibility requirements
- Your firm must have no more than 10 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs). This includes the firm owner, as well as any outsourced employees if they are part of a stable team.
- Your practice must be based in the UK.
- Your firm must be a Xero silver partner or above.
- The award is based on achievements within the 2024 calendar year.
- Previous Xero Award winners or nominees are eligible to enter.
- Your firm can only be nominated in one of the following award categories: Small Firm of the Year, Mid-size Firm of the Year, Large Firm of the Year, Bookkeeping Partner of the Year, or National Partner of the Year.

- You should be using a selection of Xero's broader platform tools and products such as Xero HQ, Xero Practice Manager, Xero Workpapers, Xero Tax, projects, expenses, payroll, Hubdoc, VAT, CIS, invoicing and invoice payments, bills and bill payments, analytics or Analytics Plus.
- All small business clients must be on Xero where possible.

We’re looking for partners who have positively contributed to social good and can demonstrate a tangible impact through supporting an underserved or marginalised group, individual or community outside of the day-to-day of accountancy and client management. If your firm has launched initiatives to tackle a socio-economic challenge, improve social inclusion, or address other critical social and community issues with innovative ideas or solutions, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for partners who have gone above and beyond to reduce their environmental footprint, champion sustainability initiatives, or contribute to environmental causes. Whether you’re adopting green practices in your business, supporting environmental charities, or encouraging eco-conscious behaviour in your community, we want to hear how you're making a tangible difference and leading the charge on sustainability.

- Measurable client satisfaction scores, such as NPS or other feedback mechanisms/surveys
- How client feedback has led to tangible improvements in the client experience, including enhancements to communication, service offerings, or processes
- Any measurable improvements in overall client satisfaction or client loyalty as a result of your client-centric initiatives
