FAQs about Mentor Match
Xero Mentor Match is designed to be a self-driven program; the time commitment is up to each individual participant. When you match with a mentor or mentee (this is called a ‘loop’), the Mentorloop platform will prompt you to complete ‘Milestones’, helping you track progress and provide structure to the mentoring experience. How quickly you work through these milestones is up to you and your match. Although you can have several mentors and mentees, we recommend starting off with one or two connections to keep things manageable.

Yes, you can match with several program participants. However, individual participants can have up to four open match requests at any one time. Mentors and mentees can also mark themselves as ‘unavailable’ if they’ve reached capacity for new loops.

Mentor Match is a pilot program beginning in Australia. At this stage, there is no end date, however, Xero may choose to discontinue the program at any point.

Participants can close a loop at any time. You’ll be prompted to complete a survey to provide more information about your experience for the program coordinators to assess. Should you encounter or witness any form of inappropriate behaviour, you must close the loop immediately. Mentor Match has a no-tolerance policy for disrespect, discrimination, and harassment.
