I’m an accountant or bookkeeper, or an app partner. How can I nominate our business for a Xero Award?

You’ll need to put together a Xero Awards entry and submit it no later than 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Each category has questions for you to answer within a maximum word count. Writing a Xero Awards entry can be fun and a great opportunity to get the team together and reflect on what you’ve achieved over the last year. Once you’ve drafted your entry, head to awards.xero.com to submit your nomination. Terms and conditions apply.

How easy is it to submit a Xero Award nomination?

Submitting a Xero Awards nomination is pretty simple. Accountants and bookkeepers have six award categories to choose from, each with between three and five questions, and a maximum of 300 words per answer.

App partners can choose between two award categories, each with only one question and a maximum of 500 words in the answer.

There are many reasons to nominate your practice or company for a Xero Award:

The awards categories for 2023 are:

• Practice App Partner of the Year
• Emerging App Partner of the Year

When will the finalists be announced?

Finalists will be announced on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

As an app partner, we are not based in Canada but we have a lot of Canadian clients and we are a long-standing Xero app partner. Can I still apply?

Yes, you can still apply! Please ensure you are also meeting all other criteria under eligibility requirements in your category found on the criteria page.

2023 prize pack

What’s included in the winner’s prize pack?

We’re excited to introduce a great prize pack for our winners this year. Here’s what's included:

• A team celebration with your Xero account manager or representative (e.g., bowling, escape room, workshop, or other activity with a total value up to $5,000 CAD);
• Recognition as a Xero Award FY23 Winner across the Awards website, blogs and social media (estimated value $1,000 CAD);
• Social media kit to help promote themselves as a Winner (estimated value $1,000 CAD);
• Award Trophy (estimated value $150 CAD);
• A two-day experience for four (4) nominated representatives of the Winner to attend the Xero Awards Ceremony in Toronto, Ontario, including but not limited to a workshop and the Awards Ceremony dinner in November 2023. Xero will cover the nominated representatives expenses for a round trip flight (domestic only), accommodations while in Toronto (to be determined and arranged by Xero), catering during the workshop and Awards Ceremony dinner, for the total value of up to $1,500 CAD.

What do finalists get?

We also recognize finalists for all their hard work and achievements. If selected as a finalist, here’s what you can win:

• Recognition as a Xero Award FY24 Finalist across the Awards website, blogs, and social media (estimated value $1,000 CAD);
• Social media kit to help promote themselves as a Finalist (estimated value $1,000 CAD);
• a Finalist Certificate (estimated value $20 CAD); and
• Xero swag (e.g. shirts, hats, water bottles, pens, etc with an estimated value $250 CAD).
