Xerocon Brisbane: Xero announces new features to drive greater growth and impact for accountants and bookkeepers

AI financial superagent, new Xero Partner Hub, and personalised analytics capabilities

Brisbane, Australia — 3 September 2025 —Xero, the global small business platform, today announced the next evolution of its AI financial superagent JAX (‘Just Ask Xero’) and other growth-driving product updates. These new features are designed to give accountants and bookkeepers more efficient and accurate workflows as well as in-depth insights that enable them to more confidently run their practice and advise their small business clients.

Along with its AI superagent, the product updates announced at Xerocon Brisbane include a new Xero Partner Hub, a time-saving workpapers solution, and deep analytics powered by Syft. These enhancements provide a simpler and more unified experience that will help Xero partners streamline compliance and operate more efficiently so they can spend more time on strategic areas of their practice.

“We know the daily realities accountants and bookkeepers face – talent shortages, economic uncertainty, increasing regulatory complexity and compliance pressure – alongside day-to-day manual tasks, can keep them from high-value strategic work,” said Diya Jolly, Xero's Chief Product and Technology Officer. “Xero’s new features are designed to automate the heavy lifting, freeing up our partners to focus on more meaningful and impactful work like strengthening client relationships and providing personalised advice.”

  • Xero will also be rolling out a new workpapers solution, built in partnership with BGL. The solution will download ledger data directly from Xero and tax data from the ATO, saving time and manual data entry.
  • Upcoming enhancements to Syft Analytics include improvements to forecasting, advanced reporting, and multi-entity consolidations. Xero partners now have access to Syft Analytics on eligible Xero business plans at no extra cost.
  • Analytics powered by Syft, the small business product embedded into Xero will offer even more actionable insights for small businesses and their advisors, including a business health score, AI-powered insights, and will incorporate external data, like website visits alongside financial information.
  • Coming soon, progress payments will allow businesses to accept deposits or payments in stages, providing more flexibility and control. Additionally, a new online statement feature will let customers pay multiple outstanding invoices at once in a single transaction, reducing payment delays and simplifying reconciliation.
  • A brand new Xero homepage and redesigned navigation, built with customer feedback, is being rolled out. The new experience moves from a static dashboard to a customisable, insight-rich homepage. It features new and improved widgets that give a clear, at-a-glance view of business performance, highlight what needs attention, and allow users to take common actions directly from the page.
