Have a few questions? Here are answers to common questions about the Xero Awards.
I’m an accountant or bookkeeper, or an app partner. How can I nominate our business for a Xero Award?
You’ll need to put together a Xero Awards entry and submit it no later than 11:55 PM Monday, June 3rd 2024. Writing a Xero Awards entry can be fun and a great opportunity to get the team together and reflect on what you’ve achieved over the last year. Once you’ve drafted your entry, head to awards.xero.com to submit your nomination.
How can I as an accountant or bookkeeper be nominated for People’s Choice?
We encourage you to alert your current clients about Partner Awards. Have them fill out the application on your behalf.
Note: they must be a client for at least two months.
When will finalists be announced?
Finalists will be announced in early July 2024.
Where and when will the Xero Awards event and winner announcement take place?
The Award winners will be announced at Xerocon Nashville 2024.
What will Xerocon participation look like?
All 2024 US Partner Awards finalists will be given a free ticket to Xerocon. In addition, the finalists (no plus ones) will be invited to an exclusive Partner Awards dinner on August 14th. Winners will be announced on Xerocon mainstage the next day, August 15th.
Why should we nominate ourselves for a Xero Award?
There are so many reasons to nominate your practice or company for a Xero Award:
Whether or not you’re crowned a winner or not, it’s an excellent opportunity to reflect on your achievements and bring them to light.
If you’re announced a winner, you’ll be sent a Xero Awards winners pack to promote your award win. This includes:
- A trophy to take pride in or place in your office.
- Digital assets including social tiles to promote your award win.
- A media release template and tips for getting in touch with your local press.
Your clients will feel validated that they’re with a Xero partner who’s happy to step up and be recognized.
If you’re a finalist or winner, your award-winning status is a great talking point when you’re trying to win new business, and it can help you build brand awareness.
Can a submitted entry be changed to ‘In progress’?
Answer is Yes! Should the entrant need to update information within their entry for whatever reason, we can return the entry to ‘In progress’.

You must have been (a1) an accounting or bookkeeping practice or firm that held a Xero partner and business edition subscription between April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, or (a2) a long standing certified Xero app or new to the Xero App Store between April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, and (b) meet the applicable category’s requirements at xero.com/ca/events/xero-awards/2024/criteria to enter. One entry per category per firm/practice or app partner. Finalists will be announced on or around 1:00pm EST, July 10th, 2024; winners will be selected from the finalists and announced on or around 1:00pm EST, August 15th, 2024. Open only to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec. Nine (9) major prizes and twenty seven (27) minor prizes will be awarded to winners and finalists, respectively. One (1) prize per entrant; provided, winners of an applicable category are awarded both major and minor prize packages. The minor prize includes (a) recognition as a Xero Award FY25 Finalist across the Awards website, blogs, and social media (estimated value $1,000 CAD), (b) a social media kit to help promote the finalist (estimated value $200 CAD). The major prize includes (a) recognition as a Xero Award FY25 Winner across the Awards website, blogs and social media (estimated value $1,000 CAD), (b) a social media kit to help promote the winner (estimated value $200 CAD), (d) an Award Trophy (estimated value $150 CAD), and (e) a two-day experience for one (1) nominated representatives of the winner to attend the Xero Awards Banquet in Toronto, Ontario, including but not limited to a workshop and dinner between October and November 2024. Xero will cover the nominated representative’s expenses for a roundtrip flight (domestic only) to Xero Awards Banquet, accommodation (to be determined by Xero), and catering during the workshop and Awards dinner for a total value of up to $2,000 CAD per nominated representative. The odds of winning a prize depends on the number of eligible entries received by Xero. Winners are required to execute a Release Form.
