Xero wins Canstar's 2026 Most Satisfied Customers Award for Small Business Accounting in Australia

Melbourne — 24 August 2026 — Xero, the global small business platform, has received Canstar's 2026 Most Satisfied Customers Award for Small Business Accounting Software in Australia, recognising it as the highest-rated accounting software brand among Australian small business owners.

The award is based on Canstar's annual customer satisfaction research which surveys small business owners about their experience with the accounting software they use to run their business.

According to small business owners, Xero outperformed the rest of the market on reporting, ease of use, features and functionality, ease of integration, and design.

"This award is rated by the people actually running a business, powered by Xero day in day out, not a judging panel, and that's what makes it so rewarding and great recognition," said Angad Soin, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand and Global Chief Strategy Officer at Xero.

Customer feedback gathered as part of Canstar’s research highlighted three key themes that drove positive experiences with Xero:

• Easy to use and intuitive – Customers described the platform as "clean, intuitive and easy to use even for people who aren't accountants."
• Automated and efficient workflow support – Automated financial management features were commonly highlighted as a positive, with customers noting how Xero "simplifies accounting through automation and real time access to financial information."
• Seamless integration – Customers praised how Xero is "cloud-based, and integrates well with our bank and other business tools."

Customers also described how Xero saves them time by handling key business tasks – from invoicing and bank reconciliation through to payroll and GST reporting – all in one place.

Canstar is one of Australia's best-known comparison and research businesses, and has been rating financial products and services for more than 30 years. Canstar’s Most Satisfied Customers Awards are determined by independent consumer research, in which customers rate only the providers they actually use.
