Everything you need on one page
A clean, editable PDF with all the fields you need to bill clearly for any handyman job. Add your business name, client details, and a unique invoice number. List each line item with a description, quantity, unit price, and tax rate. Includes subtotal, total sales tax, and due date.
- All fields are clearly labelled — no accounting knowledge needed to fill it in and send it.
Get your invoices paid faster
Xero tracks when invoices are sent and paid. A few habits make a real difference: send your invoice the same day you finish the job, use shorter payment terms — 14 days instead of 30 — and include your payment details in the Additional Notes field so customers know exactly how to pay.
- The sooner you send, the sooner the clock starts. Customers respond faster when the work is fresh.

How to fill in your handyman invoice
Use the Description column to name each charge — e.g. "Plumbing repair – labor" or "Replacement faucet – materials." Enter the Quantity, Unit Price, and Sales Tax rate, then fill in the Total Price for each line. A clear, itemised invoice reduces disputes and speeds up payment.
Tip: keep labor and materials on separate lines
Listing labor and materials on separate lines makes your invoice easier to read and reduces the chance of a client querying your charges.
