Coming this November, new and existing Canada Xero organizations on all Business Edition and Partner Edition pricing plans will be available in Canadian dollars.
Paying for Xero in Canada’s local currency provides our Canadian customers a consistent monthly subscription cost, reduces the headache of managing a fluctuating currency conversion, and continues Xero’s mission to create a more localized Canadian product.

Are you an accountant or bookkeeper with clients using Sage50 or Quickbooks Desktop? Now you can convert those files to Xero Standard or Premium plan organizations using our Canada conversion partner, Movemybooks.
During the pilot, Xero covers the conversion cost of Movemybooks’ Convert 24 service that includes up to 24 months of current and prior year transaction history. Standard conversions complete in approximately 2-3 business days.
Last fall we launched GST/HST returns, automating the compliance workflow in Xero and helping our customers quickly and accurately calculate and report GST/HST. Xero is committed to extending these benefits to those who require additional provincial sales tax reporting. Be on the lookout over the next few months as we release provincial returns in Xero.

New Chart of Account templates are coming soon in Xero HQ, fast-tracking the client onboarding process with the ability to select a template of predefined chart of accounts when creating a new client organization. Each template relates to common Canadian business entity types and comes pre-mapped to Xero’s report codes.
