Working in an unconnected practice
The accounting industry has under gone significant change with the introduction of accounting software for the PC. Initially this reduced the time it took to prepare annual financial accounts for clients, and delivered a new level of efficiency to the accountancy practice. As the cost of PCs came down, accountants were able to put a PC on each desk. Then with the adoption of in house servers and Local Area Networks, staff were able to share client information within the same accounting system.
