Learning objectives

In this course you'll learn everything you need to know to set up sales tax rates in Xero, including how to set up sales tax defaults for inventory items and accounts in the chart of accounts, and how to turn on Sales Tax Lookup. Defaults make it easy for you and your clients to manage sales tax, no matter where customers are located.

    • Review Tax Defaults in Financial Settings
    • Add and edit Tax Rates
    • Turning on Sales Tax Lookup
    • Set up default tax rates for inventory items and accounts in the Chart of Accounts
    • Create a test invoice to check that everything is working properly
