Who is it for?

PayPal and Xero work together to support any small business that needs to invoice customers.

How does it work with Xero?

Once you’ve linked your PayPal and Xero accounts:

  1. A ‘Pay now’ button appears on your invoices.
  2. Your customers simply click the button and either pay with their PayPal account or enter their credit or debit card details.
  3. You receive the money in your PayPal account straight away.

How do you sync it with Xero?

You only need to link your PayPal and Xero accounts once. You can either do this in your Xero settings or the next time you send an invoice.

In your Xero settings:

  1. Go to General Settings and click Payment Services.
  2. Click Add Payment Service and select PayPal.
  3. Enter your PayPal account email address and click Save.

From a Xero invoice:

  1. In Accept Online Payments, click Set up.
  2. From the Select Provider drop-down, choose PayPal.
  3. Enter your PayPal account email address and click Save.

Once linked, all of your future invoices are sent with a Pay Now button so your customers can pay you immediately.
