We all know Magda the comedian; now, it’s time to introduce Magda the author. Magda is one of Australia’s most beloved actors, having graced our screens for many years as Sharon in the sitcom Kath and Kim. Trent Innes has more than 18 years of experience growing and managing major businesses in the accounting and IT industries. Initially joining Xero as National Sales Director, Trent was appointed as Managing Director in 2016 to manage the company’s next phase of growth. Prior to Xero, Trent worked at Microsoft for six years as National Sales Manager of the Microsoft Business Group in Australia, managing company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) businesses. He started his career as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). Alex spent 20 years working in large IT companies, the last 10 of which were spent helping. Accountants streamline their invoicing, job management and document management.
She spent a year at Addon Success Events, presenting Xero to Accountants’ clients and it was then that she realized the enormous opportunity that cloud accounting provides to be able to offer full- service, real-time bookkeeping to SMEs that have neither the time nor the headspace to look after their books themselves.

Melanie joined Xero as NZ Head of Bookkeeping in 2016, after a varied and successful work journey lead her to found Bookkeeping and Beyond (Gold Partner NZ) and Training and Beyond both multi- awarding winning business's.
Melanie founded the New Zealand Bookkeepers Association (NZBAI) in 2010, under her leadership the Association has grown well, is consulted by strategic government agencies and recently signed a joint venture with ICB Global that will enable NZ Bookkeepers to join the global stage.

Dr. Catherine Ball is an author, founder, and ethics advocate working across global projects where robotics and new technology meet environmental protection. About Brian

Brian McDonnell is the Director of Midmarket and Small Business Segments at Paypal Australia. In this role he is responsible for driving increased volume and distribution of PayPal’s payment solutions through existing and new channel partners. During his time at PayPal Brian has supported thousands of businesses to start their online payments journey. With over 15 years’ experience within the Fintech, Sales and Distribution space he is an active influencer in the industry and is passionate about how the commerce experience will be rewired over the next two years. Prior to working at PayPal Brian held senior business and sales positions within a number of technology and telco leaders including Optus, Sony, Nokia and Vodafone.

About Ian

Ian is a technology entrepreneur working to grow the technology startup ecosystem in Australia and New Zealand as part of Amazon Web Services. He also co-founded and helps to run Innovation Bay, a networking and angel investment group for technology startups. Previously Ian was the CEO and founder of Viocorp, a software company supplying a video publishing platform for corporates and government. In 2009 Ian won the NSW Pearcey award for Technology Entrepreneur of the Year. Ian has an Engineering degree from the University of Oxford where he also won two rowing blues in the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race. When he has time he is also a competitive cyclist, an avid computer gamer, husband and father of two boys (not in that order).
