Emerging Firm of the Year Ireland
Already a company with technology at its core, Lalor O’Shea McQuillan took notable steps in the past year to further its commitment to digital. The judges were impressed with the appointment of a dedicated digital champion to raise awareness of Xero, support clients and communicate the benefits of cloud accounting to local industry, along with a continued investment in Xero training and education for both staff and clients. “It feels like they are fully invested in making the most out of being a digital firm,” said Glen Foster, Xero Sales Director (UK & EMEA).
As well as using Xero to tailor their support and improve relationships with clients, including configuring Xero HQ to categorise clients by industry and promote industry specific services, they have utilized it to improve efficiency and workflow, with Hubdoc saving time and resources on data entry. This paperless approach is also supporting Lalor O’Shea McQuillan’s goal of becoming a carbon free company.
With streamlined processes for accounting and bookkeeping, the firm is able to focus on adding value in other areas, using Xero App Playbooks, Xero app marketplace and Xero Industry Explorer to work towards becoming app advisors. “This means they can help their clients not only with compliance and bookkeeping but also support them with back office problems, which is a really nice service,” said Foster.
