How you’ll make an impact

As an experienced Digital Designer you will have a diverse range of skills to create innovative and engaging content to inspire, engage and excite users using iconography, typography, colour, space and motion graphics for our digital education platforms.

Relying on user-centred design principles to produce high-quality learning experiences, from concept to execution, across many platforms, the Digital Designer will project manage, create, maintain and contribute to new and existing courses.   Work needs to be pixel perfect and engaging, offering an outstanding learning experience for responsive web and mobile applications through great user interface and visual designs.

As an integral part of the UK Education Team, the Digital Designer will work closely with the team to ensure existing content is up to date with the latest product releases.  There will also be close working with UK/Global Digital to create the most effective and efficient processes for delivering high quality, high volume multimedia content. This role also works occasionally with Xero’s Creative Hub (Marketing) to create compelling educational content for Xero.com.


What you’ll bring…

We are looking for a Digital Designer with extensive experience in Graphic UI/UX or Web Design and ideally educated to degree level in a related field, with a great portfolio that exhibits a variety of motion graphic/ interface design work and a strong visual aesthetic.

You’ll have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) as well as demonstrable experience in creating creative, engaging and human multimedia content from agreed scripts including experience with shooting and editing video.

Any experience using authoring tools such as building SCORM files in Captivate, Storyline and/or Evolve would be highly advantageous as would knowledge of SaaS software and, in particular, accounting software.

The role comes with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits.
