Using key practice tools such as Xero Workpapers, Glenn works actively and impressively towards his eventual goal of 80% automation. He takes a forward-looking approach to client service: his ‘Best Year Yet’ programme rolls forward 12 months, allowing him to work with customers towards their financial goals.

Small Firm of the Year: United Kingdom

Rowdens invested extensively in Xero training. The whole team is certified and an impressive number are payroll and migration certified. Rowdens have gone the extra mile to roll out Xero Practice Manager, Futrli and Receipt Bank. And their deployment of Go Proposal has also helped their team grow.

Blu Sky Chartered Accountants

Mid-Size Firm of the Year: United Kingdom

Blu Sky has all staff advisor and payroll certified and are actively working towards full migration certification. They have all clients on Xero and use HQ to track alerts and keep on top of client deadlines. Blu Sky has a close relationship with many start-up hubs, and actively contributes to industry business events.

Albert Goodman

Large Firm of the Year: United Kingdom

Albert Goodman has made a substantial investment in Xero education, with 73 certified staff, many of whom are also payroll and migration certified. In early 2018, the firm embarked on a mass rollout of Xero across thousands of clients. Its growing team of 20 can now train clients, giving them one of the largest onboarding teams known to Xero.

Lewis Ballard

100% Xero: United Kingdom

Within just 18 months, Lewis Ballard fully adopted and integrated Xero Practice Manager, Xero Workpapers and Xero HQ for all clients – and, of course, it uses Xero for its own books. The spreadsheets are gone, desktop software has been banished, and Lewis Ballard is a shining example of a fully digital, Xero firm: one that uses our tools to deliver excellent value to its clients.


App Advisory Firm of the Year: United Kingdom

BDO UK are the inaugural winners of this award. The firm earned it by using an extensive range of ecosystem partners – never focusing on numbers, but on ensuring that clients have the best system for the job. The company’s approach is truly bespoke, matching client needs to the right systems and processes so that they get the most out of their new platform.

Most Valued Professional (MVP): United Kingdom

Mark is a vocal Xero advocate whose ‘no-nonsense’ approach means he’s never shy about offering pure, undiluted feedback to the team. A Xero partner since 2011 and a valuable sounding board, Mark’s firm has experienced phenomenal growth – but he’s always demonstrated passion for Xero and a desire to help us move forward and improve our service for small firms.

BVSA Chartered Accountants is the winner of this year’s award. The firm approached its transition to Xero with focus and commitment. BVSA has aligned every avenue of the practice with the platform and continues to share knowledge with clients and associates wherever possible.

Core Cloud Accounting is a national group of firms and a distinguished partner to Xero in South Africa. The company pioneered its own accounting conference for members, and has continued its efforts to encourage, support, and uplift accountants across the country to discover the benefits of the cloud.

RDA Accountants

Emerging Firm of the Year: Ireland

The team at RDA Accountants take pride in being a proactive firm focused on realising the visions of their clients. The firm recently embarked on a project to transition clients from desktop software and spreadsheets to Xero, with the aim of future-proofing both their own business and those of their clients.

Beyond Accounting

Xero Partner of the Year: Ireland

Beyond Accounting has been recognised and rewarded for its Xero expertise The company takes a pragmatic approach to growth and has invested in Xero to ensure its team is fully qualified. This firm is leading the next generation of accountancy experts and taking them, well beyond accounting into advisory roles.

This has been an amazing year for the Direct Debit provider, which now helps over 1,000 UK accountants and bookkeepers to get paid on time, along with thousands of small businesses. This year saw GoCardless rapidly expand into Australia and New Zealand, with many more countries to come.

Fluidly has done an incredible job working with our Xero partners to help provide cash flow forecasting services to UK businesses that require no modelling whatsoever. They’ve done such a good job that they’ve experienced 60% month on month growth in mutual customers since March this year.

FUTRLI has significantly investmented in enabling Xero partners. They've certified over 2,500 accountants and bookkeepers on their advisor programme, providing world-class support and training to Xero partners, providing the valuable insights and action plans that UK businesses are calling out for.


Financial Services App of the Year

iwoca has built a beautiful experience for Xero customers looking for business loans, while supporting hundreds of UK accounting partners to serve their clients working capital needs. 


Industry-Specific App of the Year

In their first year in the UK, Figured has already helped hundreds of farmers and their advisors better manage their farm’s financial health. The team have taken a deliberate and considered approach to launching the Figured solution and are already seeing great traction with Xero partners across the country.
