Moving clients to Xero can be efficient and stress-free

There’s a common misconception among accountants and bookkeepers that moving clients to new software, like Xero,  can be a costly, time-consuming task. With this in mind, you may feel it isn’t worth the hassle. This, however, is a myth that needs busting. 

Xero’s migration solutions are available free of charge, and are designed to make the process as efficient and stress-free as possible.

Take Movemybooks, for example, an easy-to-use, automated service that’s perfect for more straight-forward migrations, allowing you to migrate up to two years’ of historic data by following a few simple steps. 

Meanwhile, our Partner Consulting team can guide you through more complex or bespoke conversion projects. The team is made up of qualified accountants from practice and industry, who can help you set your clients up on Xero, guide you and handle the heavy lifting.

With support from Xero behind you, migrating multiple clients can be a straightforward process that won’t distract you from doing what you do best: running your practice. 

Xero can help you meet the needs of all kinds of businesses 

We know that as accountants and bookkeepers, you must meet the needs of clients of all shapes and sizes. And you need a platform that can do just the same. Xero provides you with this flexibility. 

If you’re working with smaller clients, you can add them to Xero with Xero Cashbook and Ledger. The latter is a perfect solution for clients on yearly manual records, while our cashbook product is designed for clients who use spreadsheets and don’t need invoicing. We also have a plan that caters to those who do and don’t need VAT reporting. 

These plans are available exclusively to accountants and bookkeepers in practice as part of our Partner Programme. With these plans, practice staff are in control of the accounts but may grant clients access to view data and reconcile transactions.

  • Our Starter plan is designed for sole traders, new businesses and the self-employed with limitations on the volume of invoices that can be sent and bills entered. 
  • Standard is good for growing small businesses, while Premium delivers the same features as the standard plan as well as the ability to use multiple currencies. 
  • Our Ultimate product is ideal for larger employers and more complex small businesses. 

Finally, Xero Go, the new free-to-download mobile app, is perfect for UK sole trader clients. 

Using Xero Go, they can meet increased reporting requirements efficiently, thanks to the digitisation of expense records and income data provided by the app. 

Meanwhile, it’s complemented by an advisor-facing partner plan, giving you everything you need to service your self-employed clients and make sure the books are up to date throughout the year. Even more features are coming soon
