Today over 500 of our Singapore customers are attending the Xero Roadshow. Not only is the day jam packed with talks by industry experts from both Google and Amazon Web Services, it also marks the announcement of our latest strategic partnership with DBS.
The partnership is very exciting for our Singapore customers. It centres on several aspects including aligning both parties’ technology platforms to ultimately enable small businesses to make payments and apply for loans seamlessly, transforming how businesses manage cash flow and access capital. This partnership between DBS and Xero is the first of its kind in Asia.
Rod Drury, our CEO And Founder sees huge opportunities for small businesses that this partnership brings. “Xero is in the unique and privileged position of being able to understand our subscribers’ needs to grow and thrive. We’re delighted to help connect them with leaders like DBS in Singapore to help them do just that.”
DBS and Xero
Speaking about the strategic partnership, Joyce Tee, Group Head of SME Banking, DBS said, “we are empowering our SME clients to make better business decisions by making cash flow management transparent and simple. In addition, as the bank will have better access to the SMEs’ financial data, we’re streamlining and simplifying the application process for bank loans. This ties back to our vision of reimagining banking to make banking joyful.”
Central to the success of Xero is its technology. Attendees of the Singapore Roadshow are also getting first-hand insights and advice from Oliver Furniss, General Manager of Global Product Marketing. He’s giving an update on product and upcoming announcements.
On top of that, 17 of our ecosystem partners will be exhibiting. This is a great opportunity for attendees to learn how their apps work to help small business operate even more efficiently.
It’s going to be a great day, particularly looking forward to an exclusive fireside chat with Evan Law, the Singapore Accountancy Commission Chief Executive. We will be discussing the evolving accountancy scene here in Singapore and the skills that accountants need to arm themselves for the future.
