At Xero we’re setting ourselves up for a big year of milestones in 2017. We’re launching our first regional New Zealand office in Hawke’s Bay, heading quickly toward a million subscribers and setting in place plans to become a billion dollar company.
It’s incredible to think that this year marks a decade since Xero first burst onto the accounting and bookkeeping scene. Over the past ten years our focus has been on delighting our customers. In that time we’ve also experienced super-charged growth as we take our New Zealand-borne dream to the world.
As we continue to scale and grow momentum, we’re aligning our teams at Xero to continue to deepen our relationships with our valued accounting and bookkeeping partners, who are so integral to the success of small businesses everywhere
The next step for Partners and New Zealand
This last year I’ve focused on New Zealand leading the sales and marketing team. But with our deeper focus on accounting and bookkeeping partners, I have recently stepped up into a global role as Chief Partner Officer. I will lead the teams that spearhead product development, design, and marketing, to benefit and complement the work we’re doing with our partners. My team will also focus on our fantastic ecosystem of partners.
The stars aligned when Craig Hudson relocated back to New Zealand this year and stepped in as Country Manager. Craig was with Xero in the United Kingdom for the last few years. He helped lead our expansion into Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa. We’re eager to have his international experience put to good use in New Zealand.
You might recognise Craig from his days as an international professional rugby player. He played in New Zealand, France, England, and Wales. The father of four is returning to New Zealand, where he’s eager to give his kids a Kiwi upbringing. We’re glad to be able to welcome him home.
