It’s no secret that technology dramatically changes the way we work. In fact, 83% of accountants think understanding technology is just as important as understanding their profession. Accountants and bookkeepers are increasingly stepping up into strategic advisory roles. This means providing knowledge and expertise their small business clients need to succeed.

With the release today of the enhanced Xero partner program, we’re laying the foundation for bigger things. We’ve designed it to give our partners the tools they need to be successful in today’s age. It’s a big step forward on the journey to create a more advanced partner program. One that is solely focused on giving advisors the tools and platform they need to become connected advisors for small businesses.

Here’s a look at some of the new and improved ways our Partner Program will help your practice.

A new way to work

Leading the charge is Xero HQ. One of our core objectives is helping your practice grow. With Xero HQ, we’re equipping our partners with tools to better manage clients, unlock insights and provide more advisory level services. Feedback from our partners shows features such as the client list, explorer and the activity feed are changing the way they work for the better.

Promote your practice to thousands of potential clients

The new advisor directory is up and running. It highlights our partners to the more than 20,000+ people globally each month who are searching for the right advisor. By updating your profile to show your industry expertise, you make it easier for the right potential clients to find you.

Small businesses can also use the new Xero chatbot to help them find an advisor. Our chatbot, which integrates directly with Facebook Messenger, makes searching the advisors directory easy. For our partners, it’s a new way to connect and interact with potential clients who are using social media.

Make sure you give your practice the best advantage by updating your listing within Xero HQ today.

More recognition for Xero Partners

This week, we’ll be introducing our newly recognized Xero Champions. These are partners who are continually investing in their staff development and growing with Xero. Check out the Xero Champion criteria to find out how your practice can become one today.

Giving staff choice in the way they learn

Not only have we personalized the education experience for our partners, we’re also giving you more choice. We used the best practices of Xero Advisor experts around the world to develop our new curriculum. The new online Certification breaks down real-life, scenario-based content into modules. This allows the user to select those most relevant content for them at all times. Our partners can also list all certified staff on the advisors directory. This gives you another avenue to find new clients. Visit Xero U to get started.

New points to earn a higher status, faster

We introduced new ways for our partners to earn points through Xero business and partner plans. If you’re a partner, you should have received an email from us letting you know your new partner status. In case you missed it, get yourself familiar with how it all works.

Next up for the partner program is the Xero Store. It will make it even easier to claim the new benefits, order Xero merchandise and get other exclusive marketing resources. We’ll let you know more as we get closer to the Xero Store launch.

There’s much to celebrate for partners. This is just the first step in delivering on your feedback, and we’re moving quickly on additional ideas and requests from our partners.

Give it a try and let us know what you think. As exciting as these first set of changes are, we’re only getting started.

Which UK payroll software does Xero integrate with. On your partner site, it appears Xero only has payroll partners in Africa (37 countries) Canada, Singapore and Ireland. What about the UK?
