HATS OFF TO YOU: The 2016 Xerocon Awards

Our annual awards, where we recognise the biggest achievements from the Xero community, punctuated what has been the most successful Xerocon in London to date.

We’d like to congratulate all the winners, you’ve done some truly inspiring work. And, even if you weren’t among the winners this year, we’d like to thank everyone who works with Xero to provide a better service for their clients. Each and every contribution is recognised and valued, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Here are the recipients of the Xerocon Awards in London.

The 100% Xero award

The award, as the name suggests, is for practices that run fully on Xero to deliver demonstrable value to their clients. This year’s winner was Gold Partner iHorizon.

iHorizon specialise in outsourced accounting and finance solutions for entrepreneurs and tech startups across the UK and US. Integrating with Xero add-ons, iHorizon helps clients save time and money to achieve better results.

Industry-Specific App of the Year award

This goes to the Add-on Partner that has addressed a distinct industry, resulting in a proven record of customer satisfaction and commercial success. This year’s winner was iZettle.

iZettle has truly disrupted the payments industry this year, making a mark on small business retail – and working seamlessly with Xero. It’s been shown time and again that iZettle and Xero is a great combination for retailers or anyone taking card payments from customers.

Emerging Add-on Partner of the Year award

The winner had to demonstrate excellent customer care, design quality, functionality and technical innovation, all contributing to both commercial success and customer satisfaction. The award went to Insightly who has really set the bar in CRM standards.

Since launching as a Xero add-on six months ago, there’s been an impressive uptake in the UK and abroad. They’ve also worked closely with Xero’s Developer Evangelists to make sure they’re delivering a best-in-class Xero integration.

Add-on Partner of the Year

The winner of this award needed to prove their intent to deliver an excellent experience for their customers by providing exemplary customer care, beautiful design, top build quality, extensive functionality and real technical innovation.

Chaser, whose automatic invoice-chasing software helps small businesses to manage their cashflow, took out the award at Xerocon London this year.

Chaser is a top notch add-on that works brilliantly with Xero. Customer feedback is amazing from both partners and customers, with significant reductions in debtor waiting times and cashflow improvements regularly being cited in their praise. With more than 120 five-star reviews on the Add-on Marketplace, they’re consistently proving their worth to customers.

Emerging Partner of the Year

This award is for the Xero accounting or bookkeeping Partner showing the potential to deliver increasing value-added services to their clients. Winning this award shows a commitment to growing with Xero to provide the best possible service to clients.

Taking out this year’s award, Old Mill is climbing the Partner ladder at an astounding rate. After hitting Bronze Partner status in September 2014, they went Gold before Christmas 2015. They’ve done so by raising awareness in their local area of Xero, and instilling real knowledge of the product among their team.

Bookkeeping Partner of the Year

This award is for the Xero bookkeeping Partner who used Xero to improve their services for clients in 2015. To select from a competitive group of entrants, Xero considered everything from the use of innovative client services to the delivery of better client results. Taking the award home this year was Fresh Financials!

Fresh Financials are helping reinvent bookkeeping through the adoption of Xero. Paying keen attention to their online presence, they’re effectively spreading the word to grow their business. From free Xero demonstrations to social media marketing, they’re reaching a growing audience, making sure Xero helps more people than ever.

Xero MVP

Recognising an individual who has made an incredible contribution to the accountancy profession in 2015, this year’s award for the Most Valued Professional went to Sharon Pocock of Kinder Pocock who really impressed this year by driving an effort to garner the full benefits of technology across their business and for clients. Hosting regular webinars, introducing clients to Xero and complementary technologies, Sharon’s practice has also led the way at Xero Roadshows and Add-on events.

Accounting Partner of the Year

This award is given to the accounting Partner who has used Xero to deliver the best value-added services to clients in the past year. Carpenter Box took home the award after genuinely changing the landscape for accountants across the UK.

Bringing the power of Xero home to small business clients, Carpenter Box created the BITE 2015 technology event to reach more than 300 registrants and show them the benefits of beautiful accounting software. They also hold regular seminars with regular outreach through social media. Their connections to the Add-on community prove the model of working within the Xero ecosystem to deliver fantastic results for small businesses.

But all blogs have something in keeping, whether you
are blogging for riches as weell as to get attention. Without much effort in any respect you may be very much
more educated about the subject. No matter how big or small the company is,
it has become the best tool for them.
