From Sunrise to sunset: running a thriving family business

Xero

Jul 31, 2015

David Koch is best known as ‘Kochie from Sunrise’, co-host of an Australian television breakfast program. But he also runs a small business, a boutique media production agency called Pinstripe Media. It’s a family business that’s been up and running for well over a decade. In fact, David and his family started the business around the same time he was hired to work on Sunrise.

Being a self-confessed finance nerd, Kochie likes to keep the numbers within reach. Especially when it comes Pinstripe Media’s financials. Like many small businesses they go through the same challenges of chasing late payers and managing cash flow. But the reality of Kochie’s working day, which kicks off while most of us are fast asleep, is that he’s always on the go. That’s why Xero’s become such an integral part of their business. Kochie can log in anywhere, any time to see how the numbers are looking.

Kochie’s family business has access to some great video production talent. So we asked his team to show us how Xero helps their business – and they came back with this video.
