Over the past two weeks we’ve previewed the new Filters and WIP Manager in the upcoming first release of Xero Practice Manager.
Today we’ll preview Global Search.
Finding information quickly can often be difficult and disruptive to your workflow. The new Global Search allows you to quickly find key information for a client, supplier, contact, job, quote, invoice or lead without having to leave the page you’re on or interrupt the task at hand. If you need further information, you can simply drill down into the search results to view more detail.
As you can see, the new Global Search allows you to quickly and efficiently locate the information you need when you need it.
Great function, would love to see if there is any batch update or delete functions.
also, if I setup the client with a quarterly BAS payments and we are required to prepare BAS (as setup in client details of WFM), why we need to setup a repeat job again? double handling?
The AUSKey should be able to get all the new BAS or IAS for us any way?
=====my wish list======
🙂
Fantastic. Looking great team. Now we just need that inside the Xero ledger!!
That is going to be really useful. Constantly having to open new tabs just to get a clients number to make a phone call, check someone’s corporation tax number etc All those seconds saved will make a big difference across the year.
Brilliant! Would love to see this in core Xero as well – bet you’re working on it!
Great development and really looking forward to all of the changes that are being previewed on the blog
As a sole practice one of our key frustrations is planning work and keeping track of deadlines, practice manager will and indeed has helped in these areas without substantial costs to our business that comes with other products
Really looking forward to getting to use the new user interface and looking forward to the developments to come
Keep up the great work
This is all great but I am worried about what the new client and contact information section looks like and particularly first name, surname. We don’t want to hit June 30 with these fields mucked up. Is there any preparation we could be doing now…
@Deborah – The new client screens will allow you to store first name and surname in separate fields. The release in June will also include updated export/import routines that will allow you to quickly and easily update this information.
Great news, now we even work faster en more efficient 😉
The adapted filters are great.
