We’re thrilled to announce that we have reached 100,000 paying customers in Australia today. It’s been an amazing journey since I started at Xero three years ago, and it’s just getting better. To commemorate this milestone and thank our Customers, Partners and wider ecosystem, we made a video.

It would be great if I was able to show clients the payments made regularly on invoices. At the moment it doesn’t print the dates or amounts. Can this be fixed? Also would like to be able to have attention and address information on top lefthand side permanently showing but able to change should I need to.

Hi @HeatherSmithAU here!

Congratulations on an amazing achievement – we love numbers and KPI’s!

Hey you should get the guy in the brown tartan shirt with the smooth voice to do some of the voice overs on the training videos 🙂

scared of these kind of questions ha? :))))))))))))))))))) deleted very promptly! cowards :))

I bet you do not have an answer to this question – what are you going to do if there is no internet connection?? XERO does NOT provide one single back up file, and those it does provide is kinda hard to put together IF there is no XERO any more. What are those 100 000 customers are going to do?? they are going to be on hold? waiting for the connection? things happen and you really need to think about this. As a business owned I am no happy that I have no control over the data file… it is IN THE CLOUD… big brother protects it! an possibly looks at it! even Pentagon was broken in to! imagine what is going to be if a savvy computer teenager hacks in to your database.
those 100 000 client are in in the CLOUD.. brainwashed, not realizing the danger the cloud systems pose. At least MAKE that ONE single FILE available to the business owner so it can be used in case your systems fail.

@Pippo – awesome. I love these sort of questions

1. If there is no Internet connection, go and have a coffee. Chances are the cafe will have wifi. It will be back soon. We do recommend getting a prepay data card as well in case you have local internet issues.
2. We back up all your data for you. Multiple times. Anything goes wrong and 20 pagers go off. We are on it. Back up as a file may not be so good as we keep adding new features.
3. We pay a lot of people to ensure we are secure. We think that’s less risk than a hard disk blowing out on a desktop computer brought at Harvey Normans

Hope that helps.

Awesome work Rod! And Pippo – bet you didnt think you would have the CEO reply to ya!! Why would it be bad if Xero looked at your accounting information? Im sure they could offer you advice on where your strengths and shortfalls are – which is what I think they intend to do eventually.

Xero really makes my accounting job easier. Saving time, saving money.

Well answered, Rod. People do seem to focus on cloud issues without realising the dangers inherent with running ‘old skool’ installed software.
Saying that, I still have not had a reply from my reply to the 15 feb blog post, re outage. Have tried to get a response from David Wills, with the concern I have which is based from my IT industry background.

LOVE Xero, but why is development so slow? From Australia alone you rake in between $3-10m EVERY month? Not enough to get on with the basics? Id really love to see Xero polish up its rough edges.

I am not a customer but your new shareholder. I have a full confidence in your product and services. It was amazing how the share price went up from $4.50 on Nov 2012 to $41.85 on 7 Mar 2014. I bought a substantial amount $75k and intending to buy $10k next week. Keep up the hard work at Xero. Looking forward to see more than 1 million customers worldwide in the near future. God Bless us all.
