Xero has recently opened its second Melbourne office, home to the Melbourne development teams.
The space is next door to the current Melbourne office and it’s been designed to allow us to further expand the development team without having to move in the near future. There’s plenty of room for agile boards, TVs for product reviews, wall space aplenty for our designers to re-imagine solutions and of course the mandatory coffee machine and beer fridge. However, the most important decision has yet to be made – foosball table or mini-golf course?
Australian tax update
With the expanded Melbourne development team in place, we have our foot full to the floor to deliver our Australian tax solution within Practice Manager.
In September, we released the first major deliverable for the project, online activity statements within Practice Manager, and the uptake with our partners has been strong. The uptake in the number of partners using online activity statements has been really encouraging, with an increase in lodgements happening in each reporting period.
Back in Melbourne, the team are working through the other forms including Company, Individual, SMSF, Trust, and Partnership. Looking at the year ahead, we will hold pre-release programs to make sure everything is in place to allow you to switch confidently to Tax in Xero in time for the new financial year.
