As the number of UK accounting and bookkeeping practice grows, so too does the number of supporting staff members here at Xero. As part of our commitment to provide our Xero Partners in the UK with the smoothest and quickest transition from their current client accounting software packages such as Sage, Quickbooks (or quite often Microsoft Excel) – we now have the UK Partner Enablement team consisting of (left to right) Sarah Tetlow (me!), Chloe Jackson, Helen Gibbons and Michael Graves.
Michael joined us in January this year. He has a wide experience in finance and accounting, project management, business analysis and system installations – as well as software development and delivering training to users at various levels.
Helen joined us in March, from a leading training provider where she had delivered AAT, CIMA and ACCA courses in classroom and online environments. Prior to this, Helen spent time working within accountancy practices completing audit and accounts responsibilities. Helen is a massive supporter of the local Milton Keynes ice hockey team.
I joined Xero UK in July from the Enablement team in New Zealand where I spent the last four years working with Partners, managing practice conversions, training and supporting partners through their transition to Xero. Prior to this, I had been working as a support consultant with other accounting software products.
Chloe joined us in September and prior to this she was a Chartered Accountant at one of our largest Xero Partners. Her Xero knowledge has been gained through experience from working through a full firm-wide conversion to Xero in 2012. When she’s not at work, you are likely to find her at many of the amazing coffee shops around London.
So what does this mean for you? As a Partner you can contact the Enablement team with your client conversion and practice setup questions. We are also creating additional resources including a number of different conversion guides to assist you with converting your clients, including some Excel tools that will help with reformatting data from specific applications.
We also work closely with you and your account manager to put a practice conversion plan in place to assist you with timelines around converting your clients, education (for staff and clients) and setting chart of account templates.
We also run a number of weekly webinars including the Converting to Xero webinar which guides you through importing data into Xero from your client’s existing accounting system and managing the client transition to Xero.
