How to use Xero with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement

With tax season in full swing, we’d like to highlight getting efficient with tax suite CCH ProSystem fx Suite. Xero exports a Trial Balance that is friendly for ProSystem fx Engagement, which in turn integrates with either ProSystem fx Tax or ProSystem fx Tax (SaaS).

Here’s how it works:

From Xero’s “Advisor” tab, you can now “Export” a Pfx Engagement friendly trial balance from the “CCH ProSystem fx Engagement” option in the recently reworked Export screen.

Then, in Engagement, you add the Xero export into the Binder as a Workpaper.

Engagement’s “Paste TB Import” tool makes it easy to transfer that Xero data into the Trial Balance. Simply highlight the area you want to import, select “Copy” and then “Paste TB Import”. Engagement will open a dialog box to allow you to pick the Trial Balance you want to import into and map the fields.

Ta da! Now your trial balance is in Engagement and you make all the appropriate Tax Adjusting Entries and group and map the balances to your tax return.

You can refer to CCH ProSystem fx Engagement Help for details.

Engagement can also be used for Audit and Financial reporting.
