Integrated Canadian payroll

We’re thrilled to welcome our first integrated Canadian payroll provider, PaymentEvolution.

PaymentEvolution Payroll provides SMBs with a simple and cost-effective way to process payroll and pay staff in less than five minutes.

With packages for both small business and accountants, its target markets fit nicely with Xero.
And with the two systems working together you’ll be able keep track of payroll payments, remittances and other employee benefits.

Being a fully cloud based solution, PaymentEvolution gets that everything should be automated – for instance the ePay service will make a direct deposit of an employee paycheck. This is a fast and convenient alternative to checks.

The service is also great for your staff too. They get to view their payslips and full pay history online on a special employee website PayChequer.com

PaymentEvolution is offering the new Xero connector free until Feb 2012. For more details see www.paymentevolution.com/xero.

We’re thrilled to be joining Xero in bringing easy to use cloud-based accounting and payroll services to the Canadian market.

The complete payroll service is free (yes, it really is!) for small businesses. Take a look and let us know what you think of our integration with Xero.

We’re new to Xero this month and so far everything is going well and we’re excited to be using a cloud based system. I like that there’s a mobile version available, nice for looking at a snapshot or adding a receipt on the spot. Wondering if and when 1099 reporting capabilities will be available? The mobile site is a bit glitchy on my Samsung Galaxy S (Android OS) seems to hang up and fail when navigating between the dashboard and expenses, and I don’t see the option to add photos of receipts as described in your features.

@Sam: great to have you!

@Realty Alliance: hello and welcome! The option to add photos of receipts will be in the native Android app, news on this in our blog post today: http://blog.xero.com/2011/11/xero-touch-news-and-ios-5-release

1099 reporting capabilities are in the pipeline, but I’m afraid I cannot give you any timings at the moment.

Congrats to Sam and the Payment Evolution team for making this happen. No doubt, payroll processing is an important function for most small businesses. This strategic move by Payment Evolution to integrate their online payroll services with Xero’s online accounting is definitely changing the way businesses think about and manage payroll as part of their operations, especially for SMBs in Canada.
