Modern practice management

WorkflowMax, a great add on to Xero and leaders in job costing, have now moved into dedicated practice management with a solution to help accountants get the job done faster, invoice sooner and keep clients happy.

The release of Practice Manager is a huge leap for practice management among accountants. Rather than writing time against a client, you can input time against a specific job. With a strong focus on jobs it allows the whole team to see exactly where each job is at, if you’re in budget and what status the job is at.

Practice Manager by WorkflowMax is also the next step in the Xero Modern Practice initiative. This initiative brings together best of breed online solutions at commodity prices to completely change the cost-structure and capabilities of an accounting practice. The providers have committed to work together to not only develop their own solutions for the practice individually – as WorkflowMax have done here – but also build out integrations with each other to make the flow of data throughout the practice seamless.

As you’ll see in the video, one of the new ways WorkflowMax integrates with Xero is being able to import recurring invoices from Xero. This allows the practice to set up monthly billing in Xero but report on client revenue and average hourly rates out of WorkflowMax.

I’ve had Accountants ask me if I provide software consultancy and training for MYOB AO & AE but they’re such ‘clunky’ products I steered clear of it.

With so many Accountants favouring Xero now I think they’ll be big interest in this and it’ll be a lot easier for consultants to support!

I am one of those using the Workflow Max and Xero. Its a great product. It has made management of our jobs, invoicing, leads and reporting very easy. Is Xero or any of its Partners considering a web based audit engagement & trail balance solution any soon. Such a product with Xero simplicity and pricing would be the ultimate for Accounting practices.
