Xero a hit with London’s startup community

Last week the UK team spent an exhausting two days at London’s Docklands amid 20,000 visitors at the Business Startup show.

Aside from the hundreds of people we entertained with our 10-minute demos on the Xero stand over the two days, my abiding memory will be the number of times my explanations of Xero’s basic characteristics like unlimited user pricing or automated bank feeds were greeted with wide-eyed incredulity with ‘ Seriously?’ or ‘You’re kidding me?”

We think we’re onto something, so was great to hear that a chunk of the business start-up community agrees.

Xero was definitely a hit at the start up show. Numerous visitors to our stand commented on how the functionality and ease of use got them interested, hoping to see Xero at November start up show too.

Hi, I hope you will soon offer some customer trainings in the UK. Too bad your CEO can’t make it to London…i would have liked to meet him. Xero will be the next SAP in my opinion…just revolutionizing the market…gotta buy some stock :-)

UK banks have always been really hard work when it comes to 3rd-party links to on-line account data (Aussie and NZ banks were FAR more supportive of the idea). If you’ve managed to get past those roadblocks, then that’s a really big deal.

Xero is going global in Hong Kong

I recently attended the RISE Conference in Hong Kong with Rod Drury and Victoria Crone. This was a twofold trip for us, make inroads into Hong Kong for Xero and meet with a group of inspired startups at RISE. The big theme at this year’s RISE Conference was globalization. The fact that the conference, which is ...
