We’re always on the look out for great talent at Xero. Because we’re growing and tend to do things a bit differently we find ourselves having to create new roles. Right now we’re looking for someone with a pretty special mix of skills – marketing and accounting. Not only will you know how to talk to accountants. (You might have been one or worked in a practice in another role.) You’ll also be passionate about how technology is changing the landscape for these professionals.
Accountants are a key part of the Xero ecosystem and the growth of our brand. As part of the marketing team (NZ based) you’ll be able to convey (calling on a depth of knowledge) the challenges facing accountants and what they deal with on a day-to-day basis. You’ll be right across how technology will not only improve their practice, but the difference it’ll make to the lives of their clients.You’ll be comfortable spending time with our partners to research their needs and then feed this back to our development and sales teams. You’ll also work closely with our enablement team and those handling marketing delivery.
Liaison with various stakeholders is one thing, but to be able to articulate your thoughts is paramount. Because you’ll own the messaging to this critical channel (including direct communications, marketing material, website content and presentations) being able to write well, goes without saying.
