Xero appoints Community Manager – me! I’m pleased to formally take up the role of being the ‘voice’ of Xero and encourager of Xero conversation out there. As the manager of Xero’s Help Centre I’ve been dabbling in community aspects on the side – following up comments on blog posts and making a name for myself as the Xero ‘Twittress’ … if you follow @Xero on Twitter you’ll know what I mean. That’s me! ^OG = Orange Girl, not ‘original gangster’ as quite a few have thought!

I’m on a bit of a learning curve but now that I’ve officially taken up this role I hope to provide some useful inside input into Xero conversations. Aside from being on Twitter we’re working on redesigning Help Centre to make it more of a community site so you can ask questions, others (or me) can answer them and we can really get that feedback loop going so that you can benefit from the learning and experiences of fellow Xero users.

So exciting times come up – as ideas or developments come along I’ll let you know. Any ideas or expectations you have for a community site send them in. Otherwise follow me on Twitter!

This is great to hear – if it had been done earlier we wouldn’t have needed to create our own Xero user community! Best wishes in your new role Catherine and thanks for your contributions so far on http://www.xerosuers.com.

Way to go, Catherine! I think you’ll make a great Community Manager in the role of being the ‘voice’ of Xero and encourager of Xero conversations. One way to add value here is for Xero to create an interactive knowledge sharing forum environment where Xero users could ask questions, give advice and get advice from others as well as get feedback/response directly from the Xero help/support team.

[…] Social media has always been a big marketing channel for Xero, and they are big fans of Strea.ma. Here you can see a Strea.ma wall behind a coffee stall at Xerocon (thanks, OG!). […]
