My manager has given me read only access but now I can not submit a claim on line for any personal expenses I may have ?????
I am an administrater here and do a lot of bankind and reconciliation.

Hi Trisha,

That’s correct. The Read Only role has been designed to give view only access – people with this role cannot add or change data at all. You’ll need at least the Employee role if you are to submit your own expense claims. If you need more specific help, please feel free to contact our Customer Care team via support@xero.com

Hi Xero
Are there any plans to add a role that combines the read only user role and employee user role?

Managers in my organisation would like to view reports at their convenience to see how they are tracking against budget and not wait for me “the financial advisor” to provide them. However they also need to submit their expenses.

Is there currently a way round this? With finite resources in a finance department, it would be great if non financial managers could self serve using Xero without risking integrity of the data.

Hi Xero,

I request you to provide more flexible Role Based Access Control allowing companies to configure access to various sections of the accounting as per business roles e.g. I would like to delegate the task of bank reconciliation items for all Bank Accounts without compromising on showing Aggregate Bank Account Balance and access to Bank Account transactions. This is becoming more important as the number of transactions are increasing in the Bank Account.

3 years later, but a similar request as Sagun’s – I would like to give employees bespoke access. I.E. to submit expense claims, and to see their own credit card statements, and that’s it! Is this possible / in the pipe line?
