Another part in our strategy just came together with our selection as sole accounting partner in the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) Catalyst programme.
Over the last year we’ve been getting to know NZICA and they’ve been watching us progress so we were absolutely thrilled to win this very competitive opportunity. It’s for a period of 3 years so we’re very confident that over that amount of time Xero will become the product of choice for many accountants in practice.
On the Future of Accounting roadshow (we had a fun night in Auckland tonight and on again in Greenlane first thing tomorrow) we and our partners Acclipse are showing accountants how we can make them more efficient by seamlessly integrating client accounting with their practice management systems.
The new Practice Management from Acclipse is just stunning. It’s great working with Mike and his team as they are as passionate about Accountants Practice Management Software as we are about small business.
For those of you following our marketing strategy you’ll have seen our focus has been on partnering as it is very expensive and time consuming to build a brand on your own. So we’ve executed the first phases of that plan, establishing marketing partnerships with three key groups.
Working with Telecom we can talk broadly to New Zealand small businesses. Working with the banks gives us another broad angle and the NZICA relationship gives us a leveraged relationship with the entire New Zealand accounting community. We expect these broad marketing initiatives to kick off fully in the new year in time for the key financial systems change over period around year end – March/April 09. It takes time to build a brand but linking with these trusted organisations will accelerate awareness of what we are doing.
Thank you Chris and the team at NZICA for giving us this fantastic opportunity.
