Today we’ve released a number of improvements that our users have been asking for to make doing some of the daily jobs in Xero easier.

Helping you to collect money!

Customer statements are here at last. Xero’s new customer statements page will show you a list of your customers who owe you money – including what’s overdue – and then allow you to batch print professional looking statements for all of your customers. We’re working on the ability to batch email invoices and statements.

Helping you to find your way around

You’ll notice a few visual tweaks within Xero to help you find your way around better. These include some menu enhancements (more to come) and an improved display of bank accounts.

Helping you with the accounting

You’ll always have a few transactions that are not obvious, but need to be handled correctly for GST & tax purposes. Your accountant can help with these and to make it easier in Xero – we’ve improved our manual journal section as well as allowing you to pay invoices and expense claims to or from any accounts. This allows you to pay an invoice to your shareholder loan, or from your prepayments account. Xero will take care of the tax implications.
