Hi-Tech highs

On Saturday night a large party of dapperly-dressed Xeroes attended the 14th annual PricewaterhouseCoopers Hi-Tech Awards at the Wellington Town Hall. We came away with three awards out of a possible four that we were finalists in.

Congratulations to Craig Walker, our tireless chief technology officer, who won the Endace Young Achiever of the Year. To Kate McLaughlin, our market communication manager, who picked up the PR/Marketing award, and to Rod Drury, our CEO, who jointly won the NZX Entrepreneur Award for the second year running.

It was a glittering event, with New Zealand’s leading ICT professionals all in the one room, and there was definitely something there for everyone – interpretive dance, Flight of the Concords comedy, cocktails and a few giggles too.

We especially liked the Energy Mad guys who won IRL Emerging Company award and the K one W one High Growth award. They should do stand-up.

The fact that the conference, which is ...
