Setting up their new business in Xero was surprisingly easy for Simon Elwell and Penny Towns of Inspire Photography.

"We even found our accountant through Xero, on the advisors listing page," Simon says.

Simon and Penny had originally looked into purchasing MYOB for their business. "We were put off by having to pay for every little upgrade. Friends warned us that the software gets outdated and upgrades are expensive, plus they’re a real hassle to install."

"With Xero we get all the upgrades automatically for free," says Penny.

Simon and Penny both had experience with other accounting systems and couldn’t believe how simple Xero is in comparison.

"With Xero we don’t have to call our accountant to do every little thing for us. It’s simple to do things ourselves and our accountant can just login and tell us if we’re doing it right or not, so we’re always learning better ways to run the business."
