Rod Drury

Chief Executive / Executive Director

One of New Zealand's leading technology entrepreneurs, Rod is a member of the New Zealand Hi-Tech Hall of Fame, NZ Hi-Tech Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 and 2007, World Class New Zealander for ICT in 2008 and an Honorary Fellow of the NZ Computer Society.

Rod is a member of Victoria University of Wellington Faculty of Commerce Advisory Board.

Chris Liddell

Chairman of the Board

Chris Liddell most recently worked with General Motors where he held the Vice Chairman and CFO roles since joining the organisation in January 2010. He led the company’s global finance operations and its US$23 billion IPO in November 2010.

Prior to General Motors, Chris held the Senior Vice President and CFO roles at Microsoft between 2005 to 2009, served as CFO of International Paper from 2003 - 2005 and held the CFO role at Carter Holt Harvey from 1995 to 1998 before becoming CEO in 1999.

Bill Veghte

Non-Executive Director

Bill is EVP and GM of HP’s $27 billion Enterprise Group. This group is the world’s largest IT infrastructure business spanning servers, storage, networking, technical services and HP’s cloud efforts. Prior to leading this business, he was HP’s COO.

Bill spent 20 years at Microsoft in a variety of business and engineering leadership roles from leading the Windows Server efforts to leading the Windows business to leading Microsoft’s sales, services and marketing in North America.

Lee Hatton

Non-Executive Director

Lee Hatton is General Manager, Regulatory Strategy and Affairs at National Australia Bank and an Executive Director at BNZ Investment Services Limited based in Sydney.

With 17 years and a breadth of experience in international banking and finance, Lee is a well-rounded banking executive. She has held senior positions across marketing, risk, payments and strategy and has led large client teams across retail, agriculture, and business banking in the US.

Craig Elliott

Non-Executive Director

Craig Elliott co-founded and is CEO of Pertino Networks, a cloud networking software company based in Silicon Valley. He is also a Strategic Advisor at NZTE in respect to Angel, VC and PE markets, helping guide New Zealand high growth technology companies to enter markets in the US.

Craig is a previous CEO of Packeteer, taking the company from three people to IPO, spent ten years at Apple in senior product, marketing and GM roles, and has written several bestselling books.

Sam Morgan

Non-Executive Director

Sam started his career at Deloitte Consulting and is best known for founding online auction website Trade Me which, in 2006, sold for $750 million. Sam remains a director of Trade Me Group Limited.

Sam is an active investor and philanthropist. Sam's holdings include a number of other successful web businesses including Visfleet and Sonar6.

Graham Shaw

Non-Executive Director

Graham is a chartered accountant with over 30 years experience in business and sits on a number of corporate and not-for-profit boards.

Graham spent 10 years with KPMG primarily as an advisor to businesses. He then joined Works Infrastructure where he held a number of finance roles before being appointed Chief Executive, leading the company to substantial growth and successful expansion into Australia. Graham has also been CEO of Kensington Swan, one of New Zealand's national law firms.

Graham is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management and a Companion of the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand.

Craig Winkler

Non-Executive Director

Craig co-founded Australian small business accounting software provider MYOB in 1991.

Craig went on to build up a team around him that made MYOB a popular business tool and brand in Asia, New Zealand, the USA, the UK and Ireland. In 2004, MYOB merged with Solution 6 to become Australia’s largest IT company with more than 1,000 staff globally. Craig resigned as Director and Chief Innovation Executive at MYOB in 2009.

Craig joined the Xero Board of Directors in May 2009.
