Gary is a 20-year veteran of the UK’s accounting software industry, joining Xero from Microsoft where he was Product Group Director for Microsoft Dynamics.

He has sat on the IT Faculty Technical Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales since 2005.

Nick heads up the UK sales team and has been in and around the accounting profession for the majority of his career, having originally trained as a chartered accountant with PKF. Most recently has was Sales Director at CCH Software providing practice management and compliance solutions for UK accountants

Nina Michell

Marketing Manager

Nina is responsible for looking after marketing for Xero in the UK and has over 12 years marketing experience in the tech sector, with 6 of those spent working within cloud organisations. Before joining Xero, Nina headed up the UK marketing function for the e-learning organisation SkillSoft.

Nathan Travers

Nathan is the UK Training manager responsible for content and courses as well as driving partner education. Before working for Xero he spent 6 years working as an accountant preparing final accounts for small businesses. He initially led the Xero Support Team in New Zealand before returning to the UK to help setup and build the UK team culminating in his current position.

Rod is the visionary behind Xero and has been recognized as New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013, Business Leader of the Year in 2012, member of the New Zealand Hi-Tech Hall of Fame, NZ Hi-Tech Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 and 2007, World Class New Zealander for ICT in 2008 and an Honorary Fellow of the NZ Computer Society.

Ross Jenkins

Chief Financial Officer

Ross is responsible for group strategy and investor relations. He brings to the CFO role 30 years of financial and general business management experience.

Before joining Xero, he held a range of roles from Audit Clerk to MD in organisations like PWC, Lion Breweries, Horner Greenlees, Baycorp, ComputerLand NZ and Onesource. He has also been involved in a number of M&A and Executive consulting assignments while maintaining directorships in small IT companies.

Stuart McLean

Chief Revenue Officer

Stuart oversees the global sales, marketing and training teams as they continue to grow rapidly internationally, particularly in Australia, the UK and the United States.

Stuart was previously with Google as Head of Enterprise Australia New Zealand, driving cloud applications business for products such as Google Apps. His previous roles also include managing a distributor for cloud ERP solution NetSuite and an extensive career at enterprise software vendor Oracle.

Duncan Ritchie

With 15 years’ experience in IT management positions, Duncan is responsible for ensuring our systems and services meet the high standards Xero customers have come to expect, managing all aspects of our product development, production operations and customer support.

Duncan came to Xero in 2011 after a three year stint as Gen-i’s Head of Application Management where he managed the lifecycle of the company’s business applications, focusing on simplifying the business through application improvements.

Alastair is responsible for developing new product and service offerings that support Xero’s growth strategy and platform vision.

With over 20 years of IT industry experience, Alistair came to Xero in 2007 following a three year tenure as CIO of Air New Zealand where he was responsible for 400 enterprise systems and over 200 staff. He has also held roles in large vendors such as IBM and start-ups including Glazier Systems and utilyx.com.

Natasha Hubbard

General Manager Human Resources

Natasha's challenge is to lead HR strategy as Xero continues to grow and hire people in offices all over the world. She has more than 10 years experience in HR, with recent roles in the telecommunications and education sectors.

She joined Xero after six and a half years with telecommunications company Alcatel-Lucent, where she was involved in the full spectrum of global HR initiatives.

Darryl Robinson

General Manager Group Finance

Darryl heads Group Finance at Xero with his responsibilities encompassing all areas across the finance function including external reporting, management accounting, financial planning, treasury, tax, financial systems and shared services such as payroll and expenses.

Darryl joined Xero after 9 years with Air New Zealand where his role initially centered on managing tax matters for the global group however he was also seconded to the role of General Manager Corporate Finance for an extended period and managed various commercial projects across the business. He previously held high-level international tax management roles at Vodafone plc and Orange plc in the UK.

Nigel Piper

General Manager Customer Experience

Nigel manages Xero's Customer Experience area making sure we are delivering fantastic customer service to all of Xero's customers.  He has been involved in managing customer experiences for over 15 years.

Prior to Xero, Nigel had a long career at Inland Revenue where he had a number of operational management and customer interaction roles including the management of contact centres, complaints management, child support, and more recently the introduction of technology applications such as voice biometrics and natural language speech recognition.

Amy Vetter

Global Vice President of Education

Amy is accountable for developing and executing the education strategy for Xero worldwide, such as Xero University (XeroU). Her role includes creating global consistency for the creation and management of training programs for Xero’s accounting partners, implementation partners and customers.

Prior to Xero, she was the CPA Programs Leader for Intacct Corporation and performed many roles in the accountant professional division with Intuit, Inc. Additionally, Amy has experience running client accounting services practices, whether it be her own company or as a Partner in a CPA firm. She has authored a number of accounting technology reference materials and has been a contributor and a national speaker on financial and technology topics at conferences and universities throughout the United States.

Jonathan Allan

Jonathan leads the marketing team at Xero Headquarters providing global marketing services to the regional teams and driving marketing automation. Prior to Xero, Jonathan spent five years as Vice President, Demand Generation for SAP in both Europe and Asia Pacific and prior to that held senior management positions with both Salesforce and Cisco Systems.

Sue heads up Xero training, creating education paths to help Xero users get the most out of their software.

She is an NZICA member with more than 20 years of experience working as a Chartered Accountant in both practice and business, and has implemented many software systems. Sue’s high school teaching qualification and her experience with a variety of software products has given her a real passion for helping people learn.

Chris has responsibility for Xero’s strategy development. He has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry developing and executing strategy, business planning and M&A. He has a passion for innovation and driving rapid business growth.

Chris joined Xero from a role establishing a SaaS business in the US where he oversaw business development and marketing. Prior to this he has directed strategy, M&A and consulting services for Capgemini and held global management roles with JP Morgan in London and New York.

Matt Vaughan

Matt is responsible for legal strategy and compliance across Xero’s global business.

Matt has previously worked in private practice and in-house, advising on all aspects of corporate law. Most recently, he held roles at PwC and Charter Hall in Sydney, and prior to that in a top tier offshore law firm primarily advising growth companies operating out of North and South America. Matt is qualified to practice as a lawyer in New Zealand, Australia, and the Cayman Islands.

Nathan makes sure Xero staff have great office space and facilities, an exciting challenge as we hire lots of new people to keep up with our rapid growth.

Nathan has more than 10 years experience in the property and facilities industry. Prior to Xero, he spent three years with Alcatel-Lucent managing their property, facilities and EH&S needs as well as overseeing their 2011 head office relocation.

Philip started his career in Silicon Valley, designing mobile devices at General Magic. He later founded digital agency Turntable, doing innovative work for clients like Apple, Beastie Boys, Dreamworks and Playstation. At Xero, Philip oversees the design of everything Xero: product, marketing, branding and overall customer experience.

As the leader of product development, Bradley oversees the development of all customer-facing application across the Xero Platform, making sure that Xero continues to create great software.

Bradley previously led the product management team on the world’s premier mobile banking, payments and alerts product, used by over 10 million people worldwide. He has also worked at Deloitte in IT risk and assurance.

David Wills

GM Operations

David joined us from the UK to head up Xero’s operations team after nearly 15 years leading business transformation in technology leadership roles with European companies.

Prior to joining Xero, David was chief information officer at Ofcom, the regulatory authority for UK communications industries between 2008 and 2012, before working as Strategy Consultant and undertaking a lectureship at City University London in IT Leadership.

Mark is responsible for the overall architecture of the Xero platform, including software architectures and shared platform services used throughout Xero.

Building on his extensive IT strategy experience, Mark joined Xero after leading technology policy and strategy as Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft NZ for over three years. He has previously held roles heading Microsoft’s enterprise strategy practice, and as Lead Architect and Development Lead at Datacom.

Sara is the service delivery product manager developing Xero's back office applications. Sara spent six years at award winning web design agency Shift managing large scale web projects across a wide range of clients and industries. Before moving to New Zealand from Canada in 2001 Sara began her career developing the online presence for small businesses.

Product Development Manager

Andrew is responsible for managing the flow of exciting new features at Xero and supporting the product team to deliver these. Prior to joining Xero Andrew worked for 7 years at Intergen, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

Andrew is a regular speaker at TechEd and local user groups. In 2010 Andrew's community involvement was recognised by Microsoft and he was awarded a Silverlight MVP.

New Zealand Hi-Tech Young Achiever of the Year in 2007, Craig Walker leads Xero's software development team. Craig has spent his career building mission critical Internet applications, including co-founding software-as-a-service provider Viatx and working for leading Microsoft consulting firm Glazier Systems, now Intergen.

Product Manager – Mobile and Banking Integration

Matt runs the mobile and banking integration teams at Xero and is responsible for the delivery of Xero functionality and features on the latest and greatest mobile handsets, and Xero's cross-over with the world of banks and payments.

Before joining Xero Matt worked on some of New Zealand's largest and best-known websites at award-winning design agency Shift.

Tony leads the developer API team and aims to provide 3rd party developers and Xero customers best in class developer API and partner programs. He is  passionate about design led, test driven and agile software development. Previous experiences include running a software startup for 5 years, project management and training roles at Xero.

Chris Spence

Product Manager – WorkflowMax

Chris is the product development manager of WorkflowMax and Xero’s Practice Manager.  Chris was the Co-Founder and architect of WorkflowMax which was acquired by Xero in February 2012.  Prior to developing WorkflowMax, Chris spent several years developing outage management solutions for several of Australasia’s leading electricity utilities.

Responsible for Payroll in Xero including overseeing the global product management and engineering activities. This includes owning the strategy, execution and leading strong multi-functional teams to manage products from conception to release.

Before being based in the US, Oliver was responsible for the Australian product development teams in Melbourne.

Vice President of Engineering, Global Payroll

John is the development manager for Xero's Payroll product. He was a co-founder at Paycycle which was acquired by Xero in 2011. Before starting Paycycle John worked as a solution architect in various Australian Federal Government agencies for over 10 years.

Catherine Walker

Catherine Walker

Community Manager

Catherine is at the centre of Xero's social media activities and is better known as OG (Orange Girl - the name came about due to a passion for all things orange). She is dedicated to getting our customers what they need and making sure they have a voice internally.

Before Xero Catherine worked in public, private and start-up companies including the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Environmental Risk Management Authority and Viatx. These roles focused on analysis and user documentation.
