Messaging added to online invoices
While the team are hard at work finishing off our next major release (which is shaping up nicely), today we’ve added a couple of updates to online invoicing.
Your customers are able to send you a message directly from any online invoice – you’ll receive an email containing the message but, more importantly, the message will also be recorded in the History & Notes section of the invoice (and contact) in Xero. Now the record of your conversation with customers can be kept alongside the document it relates to – making it easy to recall in the future if you ever need to.
This is a another step towards realizing the power of online invoices where the invoice is more than a static document. It’s an opportunity to communicate with your customers in ways that weren’t possible before – over the next few releases we’ll be adding more functionality like this. Stay tuned.
The other update is for people viewing an online invoice from their smartphone. Now it will display in a more mobile friendly way – simple, not too cluttered and giving your customers quick access to key information.
If you accept payments by Paypal, your customers will see the ‘Pay Now’ option, otherwise they’ll simply see the amount owing, due date and a link to view the full invoice.
