Code Blacks bring home the trophy

Over the weekend I was in Sydney for Fullcodepress, which is the Geek Olympics between Australia and New Zealand. Each team had 24 hours to build a website for our client, a charity in Australia.

Our team, the Codeblacks, had New Zealand’s top web professionals. The team members were Thomas Scovell (project manager), Mark Rickerby (the programmer), Steve Dennis (the designer), Alison Green (the all-rounder), me (the HTML and CSS coder), Debbie (the client), Peter Johnston (the writer) and Zef (the usability guru).

New Zealand won by only a small margin at the end of the competition, but more importantly our client was thrilled with her new website for her organisation, and sees it as an opportunity for her organisation to become leaders within their field.

If you’d like to see the websites that each team built, check out these links:

You can also go to the Fullcodepress website for more videos, photos and commentary of the event.
